Training Days and Times:
Thursday evenings: 7.00pm - 9.15pm - All levels

Etiquette
Please arrive at the designated time and help the members to lay the tatami mats. Similarly, please help to pack away the mats at the end of class.
When stepping onto the mats, leave your footwear on the side of the mats. Perform a bow towards the front of the mats from seiza (kneeling position).
When the Sensei (instructor) enters the dojo, all students should line up in grade order in seiza facing the photograph of O Sensei (the founder of Aikido). We perform a bow towards O Sensei as a sign of respect and then to the instructor while saying "Onegaishimasu" (please teach me).
During class, it's polite to sit in seiza while the instructor is demonstrating. Bow to your training partner before training the techniques or exercises with them.
If you come to class late wait outside the dojo until the instructor is not demonstrating before entering. Wait at the side of the tatami to ask Sensei’s permission to come onto the tatami, then perform a bow from seiza.
If you wish to leave early, it is polite to ask the Sensei for permission to leave the class. Perform a bow from seiza when leaving the tatami.
At the end of class, we perform another bow towards O Sensei and then to the instructor while saying "Domo arigato gozaimashita" (thank you).
Ensure that your keiko-gi is tied properly during practice and that you remain adequately covered.
For the benefit of all, ensure that your keiko-gi is clean, in a good state of repair, finger and toenails are kept short, and long hair is tied back.
